Why not ask the pro's. This is the best web site I have ever found for ATV info.
I can't believe that Doug Gust and his staff do so much for the rest of us. They will answer any of your questions.
Good luck !!!
You can be more creative with your sign-on !!

Ex, im in the same situation, unforualenly u have to be 16 to ride a bike bigger than 300cc, which sucks. I have the Z400 and want to race but everywhere you go u gotta be 16. Like the mods. I never heard of the junior league, if you can ride bikes biger than 300 and dont have to be 16 let me no some info

What type of racing do you plan on doing? Most every type of racing will require you to have at least nerf bars, a kill switch, and of course number plates. That should be your first purchases depending on what type of racing. You should also look into getting your quad set up to your preferences. The right size tires, controls such as handlebars and levers can make it a lot easier to ride also. Next step would be to check into suspension components such as A-arms and shocks.
Don't worry too much about getting the motor to scream until you have the quad set up properly and are able to use the power you have. All the power in the world won't do you any good if you can't put it to use.

I have just started motocross my self. The single best area to work on for safety and performance is suspension.Get your quad set up properly and cornering and jumping will be easier and safer.Big motors are useless if you push out of corners or bounce on jump landings.Even for flat track, you cant go wrong with a good setup on your suspension.
