They should have a 2-stroke only class and at the end of the season they should take the top 3 and put them against the top 3 fourstroke riders.

now that would be fun

I was a die-hard four stroke rider for several years. Then I got the chance to buy a 250R, I convinced myself that even if I didn't like it, I could sell it and make a little profit. Now as I go riding and see tons of people on four strokes that have no clue what my bike is, all I do is grin and wave. It is the best feeling in the world to have someone come over and say "Man, I haven't seen one of those in years." Also, to me there is no comparison in handling, other than the newest 4-strokes. Show me a four-stroke that can do cyclone donuts on asphalt like my light weight 250 can.

1BADRAPTOR, the 4-stroke revolution may have begun but the 2-strokes will never die. Just remember that the next time you hear a loud winding noise gaining on you at the race track!

atleast there are still 250 classes and open classes for them, the pro's that rode 4 strokes just got tired of the 250r beating them, i am going to keep my 2 stroke for ever, i grew up on on and will always have one i am only 14 years old now but once i get a job i am going to own atleast 6 2 strokes

interesting to hear you want 6 2 strokes, whats on your wish list??

the money is in 4 stroke technology so thats where the pro's go, im sur honda wouldnt be amused if there latest all singing and dancing 450 was getting its **** kicked by its older brother 250r, it wouldnt help build a good rep and do sales any good,

2004LEBanshee,

We must have the same mind, because I couldn't agree more......Everything you have said is right on the money....people today ARE pussies, they're to #@$%ing lazy to even kick an engine over and they bitch an whine because they want electric start and reverse on a freakin' "sport" quad. They can't even call them "racing" quads today.....they call them sport quads because they can't even hold a candle to the old racers of the 80's.

I was talking about Creech's walshe racing Crf450r. Yes it is based on the 250r or they wouldnt be able to bolt 250r parts on it. He is now selling it for $17000 and he does ride a yfz450 w/ alotta mods, it looks sharp.

hears my opinon on kick starts! they look cool and feel sporty but when it comes to racing there useless!

stall with a kick start 1st to last place.

E-start 1st to 5th or 6th place.

I've seen it happen SO many times and its even happend to me and a friends quad causing me to DNF.
so the next time you stall your kick start and I roost by you, you can call me a ***** all you want.

as for 2 strokes if there so great why were all the pros switching even before the new rules?

Hey I've got one better......The TRX will have a place in history. How many bikes from the 1980's were still popular in 10 years later...and winning races.

Since we're talking about racing, the TRX, the YFZ, etc....I have a video of an ice race between a TRX, YFZ, 2 Raptors, a Banshee and an ATC250R. All bikes are modified for ice racing.....

ice race

The file is big and the quality is only fair becuase it's compressed, but you get the idea.
