WANNABE WOMAN RACER X - HOW DO I START?
Women racing,,I know a lil about that subject.
Like others said, pick a type of racing. Your 700R may be OK for some types, but not good for MX.
A 450 class racer would be much better for all types of racing.
Resumes: Most manufactures look for results. You have non, so don't get too excited if you don't get much help.
You just missed the GNC round 1 at Glen Helen, that would have been a good one to watch/race in (womens sport class). There is a Supermoto comming up in Nevada, Buffalo Bills resort think (other more race inclined sites have the info).
What you need:: Yes nerfs!! The best thing invented since feminine hygene products <EG> Tether switch. These 2 are mandatory for most types of racing.
What you should have:: SHOCKS!!! The hottest set-up this year is Ohlins. Many pro's have left PEP,Custom Axis, and Elka for Ohlins. Forget about the rest, all wannabe's IMO. A wider axel (don't get a durablue)and A-arms will also be needed.
I congradulate you on your quest to race. Have fun and be careful.
