+4 axle to big

Default +4 axle to big

I like racing gncc i have a 400ex would a +4 rear axle make it to wide or not and what brand is the best i was thinking lonestar

Why would you want you rear end to be 4" wider in the first place. That's a little excessive for stability reasons i think but that's just my opinion.

as long as you can still fit the trails go for it! In desert racing it is very common to go +4, it makes the bike way more stable in all situations but espically in cornering. I would say get the G-Force axel it is adjustable from 2-4 so you got room to play with it.

My ride is 48 inches wide, and running threw the woods at 40 - 50 plus miles an hour it feels like its 60 inches wide. Only you and where you ride can determine if its wide enough or too wide. Plus you would also be adding more weight to your ride. =]

thats correct except for the weight part, most aftermarket +4 axels are lighter than a stock axel.

Thanks for the info, As you know for a DS the last thing we would ever do is make it wider. lol. =]

I'm at 48" and wonder why all GNCC racers arn't that wide!
ie: no problem for me [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
Lonestar is fine call LSR extension 227.
