What is the best 4 wheeler for mud pit racing?
I am wanting to get my son into 4 wheeler mud pit racing. I was wondering what you guys think the best 4 wheeler would be for this. Most the guys are using banshees or raptors, but I dont think they are really made for mud racing? Most of those guys are getting beat by 4x4 utilities? The pit is about 300 feet long and 2 1/2 foot deep of mud. They race thru the pit and win based on time. He keeps talking about wanting a Polaris 500 4x4 scrambler. What do you guys think? He is just turning 13 yrs old. Thanks guys.

utility atvs are very good in the mud, how old is your son? i reccomend a yamaha grizzly. they range in size from 125cc, all the way up to 700cc. then put mud tires on it.

I agree with KawiMojave on this one. The Can-Am Outlanders have GREAT power and will get through what ever you want with the right tires. For tires, I would say Maxxis Mudzillas, Outlaws, ITP Mudlites, Kenda Executioners, Interco Swamp Lites, or Interco Vampires. Personally, the Outlaws put too much strain on the drivetrain and can mess something up pretty bad. Another great ATV is the Can-Am Renegade 500. It's pretty much an Outlander with a sportier look. Check them out!!
