Whats the best axle for the best price? I was thinking durablue but after I saw a raptor rider snap his in half on a jump (and he didn't even land very bad... just a little crooked), I kinda changed my mind. Now I'm thinking about either a +4 Lonestar or a +4 Dominator.... So which is better and would I need new wheel/sprocket/rotor hubs or would my stockers fit. I still have a little while to decide, I'm buying my tamers in 2 weeks but after that I'm saving up for a new axle. I figured I would go ahead and get some info now instead of at the last min. Thanks

YoDaddy- Stay away from Durablue. I have broke one and I have three other friends who have broken theirs and not to mention the other horror storys I have heard. Go with either a Lone Star or a RPM. Good Luck. MrP.

I agree w/MrP,I will add that all of the stock components will work with either axel, but this is something that should be asked at the time of order You should get an aftermarket locking nut.

YoDaddy, what's up? Typing this from BCIS How are you liking ENG. III?

There have been about 5 durablue's break at Badlands. Stephen had an X33 on his 330RX, that held up good, but he had problems with the hubs. I have yet to see a Lonestar break. PRM makes a good axle as well. If my LSR breaks, I'll make the switch to them.

LT80 is right. Buy the axle and antifade locknut at the same time. When I first started MX I didnt think I needed a locknut. Well after having to tighten my axle every two or three laps I bought one and never had a problem with it coming loose again. Plus it "supposedly" draws heat away from the brake rotor.

My Lone Star has held up to everything I have thrown at it, and I got it used some time ago. They are a little more expensive than the Durablue but I will never run anything else. All my stock LT parts fit right on, no problems what so ever. The Lone Star has held up through coming up short, completely over shooting landings, harsh whoops, crooked landings, and still polishes up to a brilliant shine.

Yeah, I probably will try to go with the RPM axle. I don't remember anyone having any negative comments about it.

MrP- you gonna be racing at Swan again on April 28th?

I have seen both axles and was right behind a lonestar raptor off of a jump when it broke in half. And that was his second one, they all will break or bend so if you have the cash get the lonestar, i fnot buy a dura-blue.
