I'm sure it's been discussed before but, what do some of you guys do to get the sponsors you have? I've decided i'm going to build a "budget racer" using my 250R motor. I think I can come up witht he money for most of the parts needed, but I am not sure(only 15 and stupid laws make it impossible to get a job). I have never raced before, so I know if I sent in a Resume and the company saw that I have never raced they aren't going to give me anything, or even a discount for that matter.Any help comments/suggestions/or companies easy to get sponsored from would be appreciated.

Getting sponsorship without a racing background is tough.Try approaching companies that are new to your area or that are only somewhat directly related to atv racing(local gas station, small engine repair etc)These companies maybe more responsive to your request's.Another way to approach sponsor's is to offer to pay for your part's at a discount or at cost. Then if you start doing well you maybe able to leverage your success for more financial assistance.Just remember to represent yourself and your sponsors in an appropriate manner.

If you write a honest resume with some pictures of your quad and send out a lot you are bound to get a few responces. A lot of aftermarket companys will offer atleast a discount for putting stickers on you quad. In my second year racing I sent out 45 resumes and got 15 offers back mosty for discounts but is a lot better then nothing.
