Harescrambles are races through a mostly wooded course varying in length from around 4-10 miles. Think trail riding, only twice as tight and twice as fast and you have the general idea. They are usually time based with district races running from 1 to 1 1/2 hours in length. The GNCC series is a 2 hour race. The key to this type of racing is endurance and reliability as opposed to flat out speed like MX.
