Default jolly not so jolly

today at jolly rogers there was 330 entries (racers) the NEATV is doing good I wish I could say the same. good old bigbirds battery died and any one that has a ds knows that if the battery dies you can't ride!(BS) what really sucks is that I was in second place of my first moto, so no points for me. if its not one thing its another! hope you all had better luck then me.

We have , a couple of races you may want to attend. The season finale at Southwick is gonna be a big one . The beach race is in Wildwood N.J. That is NOT our race New Jersy Hot Rod Association puts that one on. I will be attending that so I will let you all know about it.
I feel your pain DS rider. I was running 4th in 30+ and due to my lack of riding time (endurance) faded halfway through my firts moto 4-10thSUCk my second moto was alright util lap 3 again was running about 6-7th and same thing dropped back SUCK EVEN BIGGER. Anyone who races Jolly knows If you cant keep the gas on you are gonna get passed oh well I guess thats what happens when you have only ridden 3 times in the last 6 months. We had an awesomw turnout even the Jolly crew was telling all us Association guys that this was great. We are the biggest out there guys except the Nats. NO ONE has The turnout we do for races so its only gonna get bigger and better. For those of you who werent there and werte there but did not listen to Howard. We are very likely going to be adding at least one new track next year names that have come up...Central village in Connecticut. Walden In Ny and maybe believe it or not Diamond Back In NY we'll see we may even hit one of those this year so we'll keep you posted.

Any questions guys let me know and I'llanswer them as soon asi Can

dsracer666 - what class do you run? I know some one that races a DS in the 30+ class, I was not sure if that was you.

He is the only DS that I noticed at the track, but then I do not get too much time to watch the other classes. Between motos I can be found with my feet up trying to find some more energy.

Oh, I did not make Jolly this time, but hopefully it will be the only race I will miss.

He may have at one point, but I am not sure. Because if it was, it happened a while ago.

i wasnt at Jolly either....damn mother's day....my wife is very serious about mothers day....i had to spend the day with my in-laws and my wife and son...it was a nice day, but a bad day at the races is better than that....hehehhehe.......I love jolly....it's a fun track...and i heard the new step-up was the bomb..........do or die kinda jump....my favorite........heheheeh

Jason.....i have been thinking....if we could setup the schedule for next year.....NEATV-MX could be racing at 6 tracks during the season..

southwick, jollyrogers, walden, Rochester, central village, diamondback.... if NEATV-MX could get all these track in our schedule we would have a great NEW ENGLAND series.....all the track are different and challenging......it would be awesome..............

i will be at the next jolly race.......jason, lasher, we would be racing against each other.....i race the 30+ class too..............my number is #352..............cya at the races........

herbdon out..........

Herbdon,
What do you want six tracks for, your ball and chain only lets you go to one anyways! Like she's going to let you go to NY. Take her camping the night before then you'll be able to go, ha ha. Just bustin bud!

We won't pick on 14x on this post. I already did it today in my office. We need to ride this weekend guys!

Oh, yeah, Southwicks SWEEEEET! Its done and looks fast, some big jumps.

Ok, more information please on the changes...

Did they extend the track?
Where are the bigger jumps? I heard they were going to add a big triple...

I got this information off another local bike motocross website...

"I stopped at Southwick this afternoon, and oh my god. The new section is in, and it is so cool. After you come up out of the hole, you bear right, instead of heading to the finish line. You go just to the left of the cold showers, and hit a big table top and drop off into the lower pits. You then have a high speed sweeper to the left, it goes up the general area of the road up to were you would have pushed your bike up the hill to go to the start. Once you get to the top, there is a left that brings you back to a big table top. You land from that and make a right, back onto the finish line straight about half way down. It's kind of hard to describe, but it is really cool, and it looks REAL fast. They also have added two new tunnels in that area so you have complete axcess to it, and the old cat walk to the infield like before. "

Big tunnel jump where the water spot was, long smooth down hill landing. Continue left through lower pits. Come up the hill left hander into a 100'+ table. The end of the table is about thirty yards before the bridge. You then take a 180 degree right back onto the track and then go under the bridge. Then after the tunnel on the wash board you hit a little step/table and turn left, they took out the lousy table in the back and its a straight shot across the back of the woods then left out. Take the left after that and they widened up that new turn, big wide sweeping "S" , then the rest of the track. Pits are huge, but will suck for spectators that come with racers. Long ways from bleachers and no good viewing points from the pits.

Good news and bad news guys. I finally got to walk Southwick today. My estimation skills are poor, the new table is only 85' or so from take off to landing. The launch though is probably a ten foot lip, very very huge, and steep, for Jason and Don, you guys know the table behind the barn, twice as high as that, I had trouble walking up it. The other reason is its all sand. The turn after the table is longer than I first could see, its real long bermed corner, very nice. Here's the real turn off though, everything they did they built out of the sand. The new tunnel jump is terrible sand and after you land and go through the lower pro pits, there is literally right now four to five inches if pure fines soft sand, not the stuff that has a little clay mixed in, like powder sand. The straight is very long, its gonna be fast in practice. They had the 4x4 up there today, they weren't running the new section so I couldn't judge wear, but it looks like its going to be extremely rough after a few motos, atleast its pretty wide open there so there shouldn't be too much hard braking. Just thought I owed a better, more realistic summary. See you at the races.
