Iam looking at buying a Rancher but I am stuck on deciding what to buy either a 4x4 or a 4x2. Most of the riding I do is Mud, Gravel, Fire, and abanded logging roads, and even a little sport riding with the buddies. I heard that the new Rancher 4x4 can be ridden working and even playing. I like the 4x4 because then I know I can make it through most of the muck, but I like the 4x2 because of the lightness of a sport model. If someone could help me out that would be nice.

Well i hade the same desesion between the two but went with the honda rancher 4wd-s and i'll tell you why. First the 4x2 rancher manual shift has no
fan,and the LCD is not stock which is vary okward and i also wanted to get this new front differential and it is the best system yet.
I realy had a hard desesion on the s and the es 4x4 because i would save alote of money getting
the es but i didn't because i just don't care for that es system vary much. but thats my opinion.
If you go with the 4x2 rancher, i would get the es
because you get the fan, floorbourds, LCD, And of course the new es system stock.
I just love my new rancher 4wd-s, it the best atv out there today!

What are the prices you are getting. I have been told that the Ranchers are very hard for the dealers to get and they want to stick me with the MSRP. I am looking for the ES 4x2.
