Dirtbike vs ATV

If you are looking to race i would go with the crf 250, my friends ride those and are about your size. And if you were looking into racing on tracks then you are too old for an 85, at least at the track where i live the age limit is 15. the crf 250 is a great bike and doesnt need much maintance cause its a 4 stroke and is easier on the trails. the 400 ex would also fit you great. you will be happy with either of those decisions.

i read in dirt rider that crf 250s have a low amount of oil in them (like 600 ml or something) and that you have to constantly check the oil level or you could have your engine seize cuz i guess they dont have back up oil resivouirs in them. so basically i guess i'm saying that you would probably have to do a lot of work on them. i am just saying this from what i've read, i do not own one (i am riding 85s still). so yeah.

But anyways I sat on some 85's and they seemed to fit me well and I rode 1 also and ti was an rm85 and I gotta say it was quick.
and I think the 125 is to big for me tall wise and im unexpereinced for 1 also cant mad handle it either.
If you really want a nice dirtbike and think the 85 is to small and 125 is to large, KX100 perfect bike for riders 5'6 and under for a starter bike.
and I am not gonna lie about this 1.. if you ride quads and get this 100 or a 125 you will seriously think there to fast for you probly for a while till you get used to it. 3rd gear full throttle is to much for me on my friends cr250... ive had it almost toped out in 5th but 3rd gear is fine for me LOL.
I have the choice to get a blaster or a KX100 right now but im going with the blaster cause I seriously do think bikes are to fast for me and I feel safer on 4 wheels.
look into the KX100 or the RM100, the 85 is nice and can be made quick no doubt... dont listen to everybody here saying there slow cause there not imo, I really havvnt ridden many 4 wheelers that can keep up to 85 dirtbikes with a pipe and over jett and a good rider.
(dont reply saying oo my quad will kill an 85 im saying i havnt ridden many and theres really not many that can beat a 85 or 100.)
80% rider 20% bike imo... My friend on his Yz125 Stock thats ridden for 4 years (and hes damned good no joke) lost to an RM85 piped the rider ridden for 10 years, on a 3 lap playing around track but they really did both try and the 85 beat him just cause more experience.
Just you make the decision not somone else think every aspect out, I.E. If I buy this will I seriously be happy? will I want more payments for the next 5 years? will I want somthing Ill grow out of maybe?
be patiant.. I wish I seriously would listen to myself somtimes and do it for me but I always jump the gun and never get what I want.
