Had both on our farm over the years. Kawasaki was smoother riding, but the Honda felt more solid. Did you consider the Polaris 300/325/335 models? I don't know what you are looking for, but they are the easiest to drive atvs out there with automatic transmition, switchable 2 to 4wd & single lever braking. That is kind of misleading, as all 4 wheels on full-time 4wds are all tied together anyway. Their quality has come up alot recently, so I wouldn't worry about that too much either. Don't forget the Arctic Cats or Yamaha's. They all make good ones. Just try to figure out your riding style, what your wants/needs are. Find some guys who own one & asb/beg to take them for a ride & get the one you like the best. Just don't forget to smile & wave as you drive by on you new ride.

springdrl,
Honda 300EX = 4800.00
Kawasaki Lakota = 4800.00

hondas cost more you said?

It has been my experience that kawasakis are not designed as cleanly as hondas........for instance, airbox location, ease of service, etc......

How many screws do you have to remove to get at your airbox?

Kawasaki Lakota = 6 screws
Honda 300EX = 1 screw honding the filter to the intake

I do not want to disassemble half of my bike to change a simple part.
