Default Buying a Yamaha Beartracker

I am looking at buying a 2004 beartracker for the wife. She is new to the atv world so she doesn't need anything too big. Any idea what would be a good price for a new one. I found one at a dealer but he is asking $3200, seems a little high to me. Thanks for any

$3200.00 seems too high. Remember that this is the last year for the Beartracker. The Beartracker (used to be the Timberwolf) is now a sheep in wolfs clothing. The Bruin 250 is the Beartracker with new plastic. $3200. is in the higher price range and you should be able to do better. If anything, you should be able to get a Bruin for $3200. The retail is $3499. for the Bruin 250.

I think considering it's the Beartracker with old plastic. Aim for $3000. or under out the door including everything. (paper work, transfers, taxes, etc..) Some people depending where they live would be able to buy it for a lot less.

Around here, the beartracker tends to sell for a few hundred less than the Recon or Ozark. You might want to call a few Honda and Suzuki dealers just to compare prices in the 250cc range. Even if you really want the Beartracker, it wouldn't hurt to see what the competition is selling for. You can use it against the salesman to get a better price at the Yamaha dealer.

I am selling a 2001 beartracker for $1,900 it's not an 2004 but it runs good! I bought about one year ago, and never get to ride it. the guy who had it before me rented it out to ride on the beach. so it has a lil rust on racks. its was governed to 15 mph. until i got it but i havent ran it hard. if you would like to know more email me at sorrentopk@yahoo.com .
