Default Best Atv for my son

I want to get my son an atv for his birthday but I don't know too much about fourwheelers. He can ride his uncles 250ex but I think he could handle something a little bigger. So far Im considering a Honda 300ex or a yamaha blaster, but like i said before i dont know anything about atvs so any suggestions would really be helpful.

Thanks

By the way my son has an '03 XR100 and he thinks its really slow so whatever I get him has to be faster than what he already has.

By the book he should be on a 90. It's possible he might run into trouble if he rides on public lands. On the other hand, since he already can use a clutch, then either of the two quads you have mentioned will be fine. Those xr100's are pretty slow, by sticking with a manual clutch quad, the speed/power should be enough for him.

I would go with the warrior. Its a good all around fourwheeler and its not real big for his size. You should maybe consider a wolverine also because every kid wants to ride in the mud and its a 4x4 but still kinda sporty and fast.

that 300ex sounds about perfect
then step it up to the 400 when he hits 150lbs

If I was him, I would want a Blaster! He should be able to handle it like it's a toy. The 300EX is dead solid reliable, but it is 50 lbs. heavier than the Blaster, and that is a lot of weight when the rider only weighs 100 lbs. Plus, the EX is overpriced.

Go with the 300ex its not heavy at all and if your worried about the price you can find a cheap used one. And its deffinatly not overpriced its way worth the money.
