I own the Z and the TRX, and have ridden a friends YFZ quite a bit. By far, the Z is the best all-around machine! It does everything well. Handles well and handles light. The motor has great hop up potential! You won't beat a Raptor, but you will be able to keep up just fine. In the real tight stuff, you will easily outhandle the tippy Raptor. If I only had one machine to do everything, this would be it.

I pick the TRX only for open desert and fast open trails. This motor likes to rev, it is geared tall, and doesn't like to go slow! Therefore, the powerband is a little hard to handle in tight slow trails. A gearing change might help that however, but for really technical terrain, pick something else.

The YFZ is an out of the box MX machine. Great for the track, jumping, and a superb play bike (back yard MX, stuff like that), but I never enjoy it for any kind of long ride. It has a high revving engine like the TRX, and doesn't like to go slow on tight trails either.

These are 2wd sport quads, so they weren't designed with mudding in mind!
I agree with everything he said!

recon, thanx for saving me the typing! LOL
