Kodiak 450 or Rancher At???
I'm thinking about purchasing a new ATV next month. I was kinda thinking a Rancher AT or a Kodiak 450. I know the Kodiak has more power. But the Rancher will have that Honda quality. But yamaha's are also right there. What does everyone think. I ride every kinda terrian there is, winter summer, water, mud, hill, rocks. All that good stuff. And i will install 26" tires, nothing really aggressive. Something like mud lites or swamp lites.
Is the Rancher AT really as big of a DOG as they show on the BRP video? Or is that just cause its the BRP making the video? When they hook it on the sled in the video it shows the rancher just sitting there at wide open throttle and not even spinning. I can't see this being true. So i just figured that they had the transmission in automatic mode and when its in auto there is no low range, you have to switch to ESP to get the low end power. Please let me know what you think, its always good to have a second opinion.

Get the Kodiak.
My brother-in-law has the Rancher AT and a buddy has the Kodiak 450. The Rancher is a good reliable quad but not as good as the Kodiak.
With the Kodiak, you get IRS and front diff. lock and a better, softer ride.
I don't think my brother-in-law is quite satisfied with his Rancher. He's always asking about other quads and checking out other rider's quads. My buddy with the Kodiak, loves it.
Get the Kodiak. Its a much better quad in my opinion.
