Buying advice for kids...
Well, I have to DISAGREE too! I have had a number of rides ruined because I had to tow a kid back to camp on his "off brand" machine. We are planning a big ride next weekend, and we are seriously considering banning one kid, because we know we will most likely have to tow him home.............

Buying advice for kids...
Just thought I would let everyone know I ended up getting them an 06' TRX90. I was a little upset that they didnt have anymore black ones.
I have never seen jaws hit the ground so fast. They had no idea they were getting one. Now I just need to wait for Thanksgiving.

At first, just start them out leaving it in 1st gear, on level ground. Let them slowly ride a while that way, until they get use to the quad. Then later, you can explain about shifting. Once they realize that they can go FASTER in 3rd or 4th gear, than they can is 1st or 2nd, they catch on about the shifting pretty quick.
Also, take them out on a hill, and show them about engine braking. Send them down (not thouching the throtle) in 4th, then in 3rd, then 2nd and 1st. They will catch on that they don't have to descend a hill with a death grip on the brakes. Just pick the appropriate gear, and putt down the hill safely.
