Default grizz or kindquad ?

This will be my last reply to this thread

I have a belt driven little tiny 350cc and love it. Yes it is small utililty quad, yes it is a cheaper utility quad. Yes it goes through the same mud as my brothers honda 450 foreman(no belt). No the belt has never slipped, no the case has never had water in it.

Did I mention I love my belt driven atv?

It is also belt drive that love's water and never stops running. I would never buy a Suzuki Eiger Manual, Tran you can't shift them when you get mud under the shifter or rocks even sticks get caught up in it. The KQ is awsome and Grizzly is also I would say any bike with a belt drive would be your best bet. I see you had one of them Vinson 500 so you know what I am talking about. Hope you had a great Turkey Day.

Thanks to all that have posted, i guess i could not go wrong with either machine. Yes i agree my 660 and my kodiak where belt driven and never had a problem with either machine and sometimes i would run water crossing up to the hood on the 660.

On my day off i will check out the machines and see how they look in person. my 660 was the silver limited color back in 02 so i here that the suz comes in black so that might look kind of mean.

I think the belt drive on the yamahas is the only way to go. No shifting with feet or hands, perfect bike . I have a 2006 kodiak 450. great machine.

I don't think Motof150 knows much about atv, its fairly apparent. I would never go back to gear drive and I had hondas for years. Get up to date moto mouth.

Well busa123 i would say the new grizz the KQ i hear is a good atv but the new grizz 700 is a great atv i rode my friends the other day and i absolutely loved it!!!!! I took it in a swamp near his house and the water was over the handle bars and i never had any problem with the belt slipping or getting wet. All my life i have owned yamaha hondas bombardier and polaris my favorite over all is yamaha.. the KQ could never out run the new grizz 2tv i toped my friends grizz out on 75 with me and my friend on it i am sure it would go about 80 85 without 2 people on it

Why not tell everyone that the Vinson and Eiger are being discontinued by Suzuki then? Why push some obsolete machines that will soon no longer be built?

The new 700 Grizzly's price should come down once more get out there. The list is only $500 more than that of the King. For that you get the power steering and newly designed suspension with extra ground clearance. It would be a tough choice between the two. Ride them both and see which one fits you better. You can't go wrong with either machine.

And for the record, the belt drive wasn't mentioned because it doesn't matter. They are completely reliable and Yamaha and Suzuki make the best belt drives out there. Their belt is under constant tension so it doesn't slip when engaging. The wet clutch takes care of that. This results in much longer belt life than a Polaris, Kawi, or Bomb belt.
