I have soemone offering me a 2001 Honda 400ex and I'm not sure how much it is worth. They say it's worth around $4,000 but I'm unsure because I'm not too familiar with ATVs. It has a wiseco big bore kit, hot rod crank, and stage 2 race cam, and has just recently been rebuilt. Let me know if it's a good deal or not...

go to "nada.com" for a book price, I have a friend that owns the 400EX, its a wicked machine, its faster and quicker than the sport racing atvs twice its size, I say buy it cause the 400EX is better than any newer one in its class.

I'm pretty sure that every z400 rider out there would beg to differ......

Nothing against the 400ex it is a great machine. But the z400 simply has better suspension and a more powerful stock engine.

Some people prefer the low end grunt of the 400ex over the z400 for slow technical woods riding, but beyond that most everyone would agree that the two machines are very evenly matched from top-to-bottom with the z400 having a slight edge in almost every aspect.

2001 is not worth that much I would never pay that for any bike that old. You can get a new one for just a little more. I just got a new Wolverine 450 4x4 belt drive auto for $4,500.00 plus tax and I got a second bike that day 700 raptor for $5,500.00 plus tax. The raptor will crush that little 400ex not saying it is a bad bike because it is a great bike. I would look into buying a new one if you are going to spend that much. IMHO

I would be careful with the MODS done to the quad.....Big bore kit....crank.....and recent rebuilt.......I myself would stay away from that!!!!!That my two-cents..........If you want MODS...Do them yourself...or none at all.
........caper...........
