Anyone finance through Yamaha Lately?
Does anyone know what credit bureau Yamaha checks for credit?
You see, I was planning on buying a Rancher 420 soon, I had everything set (high credit score, down pay., good price) when the dealer told me they check credit through TransUnion. I know my equifax score is over 700 so I went on TransUnion to check there and shocked to see a 674 due to a "30 day past due" in 2001 that doesn't show on equifax. I disputed it immediately. Anyway, Honda finance is out (Prob. 16% or something) which is ok because I really like the new Big Bears 400 IRS also.
What a disappointment, huh?
Any other advise would be appreciated!

We just bought a bruin 250 for our youngest son and the dealer suggested going through a local bank rather than the yamaha card. We ended up getting a 5.8% rate on a 42 month loan. Can't do much better than that. Except for the above mentioned 5.5, but a local bank will usually be a better deal. That credit card deal through yamaha bumps up your interest rate after 2 years.
