Default Another Newbie - Help Pick Utility ATV

Thanks for the replies guys. The side by side is an interesting idea. I know that it's more than I was hoping to spend, but I'm one of those in the mindset that if it makes the better fit then pay the damn money for it the first time.
So besides Yamaha Rhino, I know Arctic Cat makes one, are there any others that have a side by side. And how do these tackle the terrain as well as a normal bike?

Thanks,
Jason

Polaris makes the Ranger and the new Rzr, that come to mind. They are wider than a standard quad which can pose a problem on some older trails that cut for atv's, but they are few. Also there are a few states that have some different regs for utv's so it would pay to check out what your state regs are.

The Yamaha Rhino seems to be the most popular currently and there is a lot of buzz that it will be offered with the 700 engine and power steering for 2008. So you might want to be patient until the 2008 models are out. Yamaha set the industry on it's ear with the Grizzly 700 and power steering in 2007. So for the money new toys like these cost, doing as much research as you can and another month or two of patience might really be to your advantage. Good luck with your choice!
