I just bought 2 grizzly 700's. They were bought new and the dealer had to find them. One was new and the other one shows on delivery 6 miles and 2.5 hours. Should I make an issue of this with the dealer. They told me they were both new in the crate and had to be put together. Not sure if the dealer they got it from used it as a demo or what. The hang tag was on it but half faded. It was dusty and the rear tires have some ware. Any advice would be appreciated

 

Proper break-in is important! Forget the what they did in the old days...babying a new engine. The modern method is to ride it hard right off the bat, to seat the rings. You can read about it here: http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm


So, if the one with 6 miles/2.5 hrs. on it was babied for that time, it is probably to late to seat the rings properly! The engine will never be as good as it could have been, had it been broken-in properly.
