<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: race4life254the new 300ex is now chain driven with a real clutch and disc brakes</end quote></div>

It always was chain drive, had a real clutch, and disk brakes....as did the 250X which came before it. I was probably riding one of these before you were born....

You are nuts if you are trying to say the 300EX hasn't always had a clutch......

The 300EX is a bored out 250X with electric start, and the EX has been around a dozen years and the X many years before that.

No way dude! Have you actually ever ridden one??? Actually ride one, or at least go down to a dealer and look at one...ok. There is enough misinformation around, that you don't need to be spreading nonsense on basic stuff like technical info.

Yes.... Your best bet is a 400cc. The 400ex is more outdated but very reliable.... it's a honda. Though, stock, the suzuki z400/kfx400/dvx400, has more power and is faster. These are very reliable atvs too. Stay away from the '03 models. If you want to do a good bit of jumping but not too extreme, go with an '05 or newer. The reason they have more power than the 400ex is because obviously technology has advanced. The 400ex has remained unchanged until recently (new plastic). You can't go wrong either way though. I'm just saying you might wish you would have bought a z400 later. They all have endless mods though. They've all been out long enough that you can do virtually anything to them. Hope this helps.

mathias is right but a kfx is kinda harder to find then the z and dvx due to the stop in making them but you as we all know the dvx and kfx are the exact same (except for the plastics) bike as the z but the z is the original so yeah you cant go wrong unless you go buy a beeater
