Are any of these 400 4x4's still floating around thru pep boys ?...everyone ive tried has since sold....would like to get one for the 1999.00 price...im located in illinois would drive to surrounding states if i could locate one....smuff168@yahoo.com...im not into offroading at all, so i wouldnt be beating mine up...if anyone knows where there might be one, i would appreciate it...we use them to haul race boats out of the water at ramps....so they hardly pull any weight and no off road use....i just cant justify a new japanese brand for this type of use....appreciate any leads...thanks !!

I would look at a used namebrand, but thats just me!! My friend bought a quad from Pepboys for his son. Like Mywifesquad said you need to be good with a wrench!! My friend has had to work on that thing constantly! He does ride it, but it's a never ending battle with parts and wrenching on it! Good Luck...................Oh, and sometimes saving money now , only means you spend more later!...just a thought.

oh hey, i agree with you totally...but we do wrench and ( cross the fingers ) ...it doesnt acquire alot of downtime...especially when its needed...hey if i can find a reasonable japanese version i would take that...unfortunately, ya dont find em at 2000.00...thats where the drawback lies with the japanese versions, still too pricey...thanks !

I am in the same boat as Smuff 168. From what I have researched when parts are needed (although not locally avaliable), all you need to do is call a dealer and fair amount of these chinese bikes have cloned parts so if you take the part to a local dealer he/she may be able to hook you up with a name brand alternative. I would honestly prefer to by a new Honda, Yamaha, or Kawasaki but it just cost too much to begin with and I can not justify going in debt during these economic times to buy a rec. vehicle.
