Default Buying a new ATV

I have been seriously looking to buy 2 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI's for about 2 months.
I have looked in person at 3-4 retailers, and have looked online too.

Just for fun, I played with putting in a few different zip codes around the state (UTAH) to see where the Polaris dealers were and what deals they had.

Most of the places I've looked still had 2007's and were selling them about $400-$600 of the MSRP. Those that had the 08's were selling them for $100-$200 off MSRP.

One of my zip code searches for dealers found one that is about 80 miles away...they are selling 08's for $999 off MSRP.

Right now they are giving a winch and that price is if you don't take the winch and get that $ off the price of the ATV. (Which isn't bad because I hear that I want to stay away from popo winches and go with a warn)

Anyhow, it is well worth it to check around!

4-5 weeks from now I will be updating my page with pics of my 2 new SP 500EFI ATV's! (They said those prices were good through May)

Just make sure that those are out the door prices. We have some dealers around here who sell at a decent discount and have no other add-ons. Other dealers will advertize a low price, but then add in extras like dealer prep and fees for just about everything. When you compare the two different dealers prices often the 'cheaper' price turns out to be higher.

Thanks for the advice. I called and asked them what fee's are added on...They said taxes, property taxes/ registration and a state fee of $27..I think that these are all fee's that the local dealer will add on too but I will double check...Thanks again.

Yes, what you listed is all normal stuff. What you need to watch our for are dealer prep, set-up fees, paperwork fees etc. Kind of like the stuff that new car dealers try to pull.
