Why not to buy an ATV.
DeeDawg i did use use the ones that were made for me by the state , and stll use the ones i custom make myself to this day ; but my injuries were so servere i couldn't use the ones the state made for me back in the late 70's for more than a few weeks at a time ; and now even the ones i custom make for myself a few days a months because of Dibetes and other health problems !
After a day or 2 my stumps get real tender and i have to stop using them for a week or more for them to heal , but i still never could get around using them for the activites that i enjoyed before the loss of the leg's ; but with a quad there are almost no limitations so you can see what a God send that a 4x4 quad makes for me !
But thanks for the encouragement and all the kind words people like you and everyone on the fourms have given me over me yrs. , i have people i meet in my life all the time that compiment me for my willpower to not give up on life for lack of legs not getting me down ; i don't want pity because i see so many kids and adults that have worse disabilities than mine and my trust in the All Mighty has never let me down !........

Glad to hear your are much more mobile now with ATV's.
I of course have no idea to what extent you injuries and other health related issues are, but I can tell you that what the medical communities have done to improve these devises is on par with how far computers have come since the 1970's, to include the "sleeve" or "sock" that fits on the stump. I even know one guy that plays offensive lineman with one of these devices because he had a leg amputated below the knee.
God Bless
