First quad
#1
I am looking at buying me a new utility quad. I have never drove one but i've ridden on one many times. I am after a big bore to do some plowing, little towing, and trail riding. Now i don't wanna go through the whole buy one now, decide it's too small, then have to go back and spend more money on a bigger one i could have had in the first place.
Now after reading and looking at reviews i've decided on the King Quad 750, Grizzly 700, maybe a Brute 750 (not sure on that, read they are a lot more powerful than the others so that might overwhelm me at first).
I have plenty of buddies that have quads to help me out at first so its not like i'll be learning all on my own. Can you guys suggest one of those to me? I don't need anything fancy like power steering, but if the bike has it thats a plus.
Now i am about 6' and weight 240 lbs so i know the big bores will fit me better than the smalls.

Honestly I would suggest the suzuki, my buddies and i own suzukis i have a 450 and the rest of them own 750s i seem to keep up with them until i top out and then they go maybe ten miles an hour faster than me thats it. I have towed a lot with my 450 i had to move a double axle car trailer with a suzuki samari on it it pulled fine. I would suggest to think about a 450 it is the same size machine as the 750 smaller motor but a lot of wallup.

You just opend up a can of apples with this tread! Everyone will sujest the quad they have but what it all boils down to is the one that best soots your needs. All quads will tow, all have ustopable 4x4 systems and all will last a long time if tyaken care of. What you need to do is sit on them and find the one that fits your best then narrow it down to two or three models and take them for a test ride. You will then find the ONE!
One sujestion I will make and most big bore have them now is to by one with EFI you will apreciate it in the long run. And I will add this Power Steering sure is nice after you own one with you wont wanna go back!

EFI, optional EPS, tons of power, a great ride and almost 12 in. of ground clearance!
An awesome quad!</end quote></div>
Funny that sounds just like my Grizz!

Dodge57hemi is right, sit on them, get the feel for them, try to test ride them. To each their own really! They'll all be great and the 3 you picked are quite similar. the Grizz has been winning a lot of awards and shoot-outs though. Both the KQ and Grizz have power steering available.
Efi is also sweet. So look for that, but personally I wouldn't get Power Steering yet, I feel it hasn't had quite enough time yet. I'm sure it would be fine though and most problems would be warrantied. It just seems like a part thats prone for failure.
