But you haven't owned a predator, so you have no experience with it. It just LOOKS "suspect"....... in your expert opinion.......Hmmmm......

Having owned two predators, a raptor 660 and a z400, I can honestly say the 660 would be at the bottom of my list. I like to recommend the z400, especially to beginners, because they are a solid atv, make good power, light, good handling and predictable. The only reason I sold mine was because someone traded a ski boat for it and I wanted the ski boat more than the atv! The predator is far more powerful and more fun to ride. I have had no engine problems with any of my atv's. But, then again, I take care of them. I ride them hard, but I don't abuse them or race them and I change their fluids frequently.

As for Polaris' reliability.....I guess I just don't know anything about atv's.....I have 3 polaris' now and I have never had a problem with them. Not once. I think these forums can often sensationalize one problem and blow it all out of proportion. If you look at it all statistically, there are way more polaris riders on this forum than any other brand. Partly because they are the largest selling utility atv on the market. So, it stands to reason that there will be more issues with them that are posted on the forum because there are so many of us on here and we all talk. Because a few of them have issues doesn't mean the brand is bad, there are a lot of them out there and there will be a few bad ones, just like cars. Also, most people only post with a problem, not just to say this is the best atv they have ever had! So just take it all in with a grain of salt and look at the big picture objectively. But if you don't KNOW what you are talking about you shouldn't bad mouth another brand. I have never owned a Honda, nor do I want to, but I have never said anything about them other than I think they make a good, reliable atv. You asked for an UNBIASED opinion and that's what we should be giving you!

firehog, don't get all hurt. That IS my "unbiased" opinion on what used Preds tend to be like. I've seen my share, was looking to purchase one for a while.
