Quote: Much appreciated! Seems like all the crap I read about both ATV's isn't completely accurate.
the one thing that I've come to really prefer- is the lcd in front of the bars instead of mounted on the bars. for me, it's easier to see when the lcd is up front rather then turning with the bars-

polaris, honda, kawasaki, AC and suzuki all have their lcd's mounted on the bars.... can-am and yamaha have it mounted up in front of the bars.

Also- the engine brake on the polaris & can-am is unmatched IMO- the ADC (when it works - specta ) is really nice. On both machines- I can totally let go of the handle bars (not touching any brake) and the atv will pretty much stop descendng a steep hill. I actually usually have to gas it to keep it from stopping while descending!

Quote: have not updated the list - currently riding an 09 can-am 650 xt. Top 3 best (and funnest) atv's I've ever owned (including the dozens of sport quads I've owned). lots of bottom end- smooth trail rides, unreal handling and it pulls hard all the way to the top (around 70mph)
Nice machine... I love the Outlander, but they are definitely out of my price range. Plus, I would want the 1000 since it is only 1.5K more than the 800. I have to say... That Mudpro 1000 looks insane too.

Hmmm, I never thought about that. Honestly, I didn't even have the luxury of knowing my speed while I drove my brothers 500; the speedometer was broken. I was probably doing 40 or 50 and that was good enough for me on my 1st run. lol

95% of the time I'm under 45mph also. The other 5% of the time I'm trying to keep up with cncpro, roadiestar or jgar

What am I losing by going with the 800 instead of the 850? ...assuming I can't get an 850.

just so you know, the arctic cat mudpro 1000 does NOT have much positive feed back. Some have not had problems and some have. The newer models may be better, time will tell.

It just looks like a beast... Out of my price range anyway.

Beergut has me wondering if I should sell my soul and get an 850... I guess it never ends when it come to spending a little more dough.

No, I'm in NH. My in-laws own property in Parrotsville, TN though. What do they have for deals?
