Rubicon or Grizzly
#1
I will be buying my first ATV and using it in a cold climate for snow plowing, hunting and recreational. I'll be traveling in remote areas, so can't take a chance on breakdowns. I'm down to two choices: The Honda Rubicon or Yamaha Grizzly. I just want the best. Cost is secondary. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The grizz was just too expensive for me! both honda and yamaaha have great quads it came down to the price in the long run for me. i ended up with the yam. big bear 400 4x4. the honda dealer near me was 1000$ more, just to add, my cous. has a 4trax 300 honda, 1990, still runs like a chanp!! good luck.

hey dickieboy'
both quads are consittered to be bulletproof engines. but, all quads can fail you, even though i have never had one do so. so, i guess it would come down to what your real needs are. if you want a great suspencion, then the grizzly is it, couse honda's suspencions suck. the grizzly has an abundance of power in it too. i cant find a damn thing my quad cant do, including push the snow with my plow, witch i am now contracting with numerous homes. i am a contractor who uses the hell out of my quad, and snow removal is just something i desited to do couse the thing does it soooo well! my bike has been flawless to me. now as for the honda. next year they are coming out with a new 650 4 wheel independant suspencion rubicon. this quad is sure to make a splash on the market!!! even if it was out now,i would still have bought the grizzly, couse i just havent foung anything it cant do, and do well, including jumping!now, if you do get the grizzly, then by all means, buy better tires, like the goodyear mudrunners, couse the stock tires suck.
