250ex vs. 300ex vs. blaster
#21
don't get a blaster. the end of 2-strokes is near. by 2006 they are going to quit making 2-stoke atv's. i wouldn't get a warrior cause they are so heavy. i got a warrior and rode it for a week and told my dad he could buy it off of me and i went and bought me a 300ex for cheaper with paddles and other stuff. go with the honda it is a very good quad. and with a few mods like pipe will really help, because the stock pipe is so consrictive. you will gain noticable power by just a pipe.

The emissions law will only affect the new quads and bikes being sold. You will still be able to ride 2 strokes and there wil be a strong aftermarket for them for a long time.

The 300EX is a great bike, and it's practically indestructible, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned here is weight. The Blaster is considerably lighter than the 300EX, less weight translates to easier maneuverability and less strain on smaller riders. Before my son got his Blaster, he rode a 300EX, it wasn't any faster than the Blaster, but he had to work a lot harder on it because of the extra weight. Also, keep in mind that 2 strokes respond much better to performance mods such as pipes, and at much lower cost. Another thing to consider is price, you can pick up a 5 year old Blaster pretty cheap, and their so simple, there's less to go wrong with them.
