Default DS650 struggles under load

Hey guys, been trying to get the wifes old ds650 back to running order. Had some issues with fuel leak in storage, chased that back to bad fuel petcock also replaced fuel line. Cleaned the carb while in there. Now the thing, starts and runs fine. In nuetral you can rev the **** outta it and idles great. Get it all warmed up and take it for a ride and at about middle to full throttle it just falls on its face and sputters, sometimes dies, sometimes the idle struggles until it dies. Fires back up just fine, pull in clutch and rev it up, just fine. Take off again, same issue. We have tested spark and changed the plugs. Running outta spare headaches to use o this thing. Any help is appreciated.

It's probably a good idea to test your compression, if that checks out I'd move on to the clutch...sounds like it's slipping badly, friction plates might be toast...

Compression seems to be good. Another wierd thing is, the other night outta nowhere it ran like a champ for like 20mins. Road the **** outta it. Stopped for about 10 mins. Back to same issue. It bogs/falls on face feeling like a rev. Limiter i was wonder if this is a CDI issue?

But you said it runs fine without load...is that still the case? It could be electrical...but before going down that hole I'd confirm the compression. And I'd still pull the clutch...better yet replace it since you "Road the **** outta it"...just my $0.02...
