Punisher, how do you spend your time in the off season?
Oregon summers are great and we're only 2 hours from the dunes. The winters drag on way to long and the rain and mud and dead looking trees suck the life out of you. If you watch the weather with a little luck you can hit the dunes during the winter without the rain.

I think the grass will always seem be greener somewhere else. I think I've been to most of the states in the union. Each one has its benifits and also has its problems. Every job and every career is at the mercy of someone else besides just you. So, if you don't like what you do, you are going to be miserable!

This may sound really 'old folks', but I've been around a few people with a lot of money, and a lot of people with very little. Also those that are extremely religious, and those that are anything but. I've seen people with a lot of things, and some with just a few. And I think that I have experienced, or had friends and aquaintances in just about every walk of life. All that being said, I can tell that what I am about to say is only what I know so far, and I have a long way to go. My only advice .....

1) Find a job or career doing what you like.
2) Try to find something that you are also good at.
3) Do it in a place that allows you to escape once in a while.
4) with the people and things that give balance to your life.
5) And try and give something back.

oh, and another good piece of advice someone once gave me, "its not how much you make, but how much you keep!" I think thats a lot deeper than most people realize at first.

Cheers!

yeah i wouldnt mind moving either. somewhere warm- but not too blistering hot and has plenty riding (mostly dunes/sand and then trails) and yet close to everything. i would also like to make atleast $100K/yr too! That may be pushing it, but if i can dream.... Well, no, I'm actually kinda serious here, anyone know where i can make that kind of money and live in a place like that?

Oprah has a house not to far from me, I'll have to stop by and see if she wants to go riding.
