I meant yours got warm with LOWER octane just IDLEING my mistake, im hopeing thats the problem with mine, i watch the temp contantly ant dont allow my bikes to get past 190-200 EVER, im just that way, at least you had good results with your 720...regaurdless he says he gaurantees his work but he will have to come pick up the bike this time with a VERY quik turnaround time or ill go postal! like i said , it will tell all when i get high octane this afternoon, i would do it now but i have to go to a meeting...

when you let someone build your chassis, then another guy build your motor, you arent going to get a custom perfect setup, only their ideas of what things should be.
Who said fuel vaporizes best at 180? you are kidding right? combustion temp or intake tract temp or water temp?
you dont make any horsepower by going to lightweight rods, you only increase engine response. you may increase vibration felt and you defintely alter the harmonics of the motor, possibly to the point of destruction.
Why the hell would you have 100 octane in a 13.1 to one bike on a dyno? Why dont you know for sure what is in your tank? Adding octane only really changes exhaust and combustion temp, not really the water temp.
that thermostat doesnt open until 180-190 so you should let it get to 210 before you start getting nervous and that would would be a waterpump failure, not a light rod issue.
time for a race motor theory and application class for you and I have just the guy to school you-
Sam Casteneda with the Raptor686. He is the only guy having fun and leaves his wrenches at home and his big bore ran perfect for more than four times the hours that you and tony rode.
love
chris
PS- just ride it
