well they finally found the problem it was a hard one compression release on the cam removed and fired right up. that was one of the two things that was posted as possible problem when i first posted. well thanks to everyone for listening and for the help, i think it is going to work out very well, the guys at the shop did there best and were very good about the pricing of there work so since they worked hard i gave them a tip i think they were in shock, but when i almost saw one of the guys in tears he was so frustrated i decided that was what i was going to do. i guess even mechanics need a excellent customer every once in awhile. well thanks to everyone again it was helpful to vent a little.

yeah we rode it a little at the shop, and the two mechanics were saying it seemed to go real smooth except they were hitting the rev limiter real fast. it seems to rev faster and have a lot more torque, but it is hard to say we've never rode it with dirt tires it has always been in the sand, it could be the same when we get there and start losing power. but the engine sounds a lot better, since i had stroked i won't be wishing i had later on down the road. were going on a day ride on saturday, i'll post more after that.

well i probably should send a few tips to guys on here, but thanks to you gary you were very helpful, and thanks for the offer on the manual. i think my biggest frustration, was they didn't have the manual but they were able to put it together without one and get it right, the compression release was kind of a unknown, and part of the blame falls to me, i ask if they had done one of those kits before and they said no. the machine sounds great now and little sandman is very excited that is the fun part.

as long as little sandman's bike isn't too fast he's so light i'm afraid the little guy is gonna beat me on the ds. he is only 10 though, so he can only gain weight from here on out. if he beats me now i think i'm gonna have to get the piston and cams
