Default Gearing for a DS?? 100mph?

The basis for the GPS not being as reliable at high speed is the unit relies on picking up satellite signals...if the unit gathers enough info, the speed should be pretty accurate. Things like weather and speed can make a big difference in the GPS units readout. Today under ideal circumstances, your unit may be VERY accurate....tomorrow with another set of circumstances, who knows?

Good point gary. I have used my GPS in all circumstance (weather) And have noticed a difference with my cars speedo during violent thunderstorms and snow storms, but the difference was only about 3-4 miles per hour. A person wouldn't be riding at 100mph in those circumstances anyway unless they had a death wish. It seems to be the rain and snow itself that interupts the signal not any cloud cover. By the way, did you get those parts back on your Raptor that fell off? LOL

FYI guys! I just wanted to let you know that Greg Row actually paced only one IRL Race. IT was Phoenix in 2002. I was there along with Nutz. And the IRL pace cars only run between 70-80mph during the warm up laps before there races.
Have fun riding!

The reason Greg Row didn't get above 72mph is because he and his crew forgot to swap out the stock rev limiter. The bike had a 46HV Lectron carb(tuned), Big Gun pipe, sway bar, Afco shocks, and mini sprint tires. It was set on kill. Trust me, I KNOW!
BTW, if johnnyairtime says he went 102 I believe him.

I don't even know why he was going that fast only pacing the race? How old is Greg Row? Seems like he has been racing forever....he used too rule desert races aboard Banshees years back.

The last tim I met him it seems like he was in his late 30s or early 40's - not as old as Dean Sundahl.
