I need a new clutch cable and the dealer wants like $80.00 for the cable. Can this be right for just a clutch cable? My cable has gotten a little rusted I think, It has always been hard to pull for a stock motor but with my rehabbing broken wrist I can't shift it very good. Looking for any suggestions.

 

Joe, I have done some looking around and the stock cable will run you 65 to 80 bucks. You might try repairing the one you have if you haven't already. Good luck.

 

buttgungus, thanks for the info. It is somewhat fixed. Just not the same as stock. It just might be my bad wrist? I should have something back to you soon! thanks for all your help. I hope you are making it to rabbit creek run in long veiw aug. 17. I plan on trying to jet the stock ds650 this weekend so you might get some PM's. I hope you or MrHosrsePower can land a hand. I only have one good one right now! LOL!

Try using a clutch lube tool. It took a few tries, but I got it to work. Now it as good as new
