Default Cam recomendations???

I need a little help w/ cam selection. I'm having my head ported and will be using the stk valve sizes. Other mods are: RWR full exhaust, 11.5:1 CP piston, Stk bore/stroke, TM45 and RWR CDI. I have a set of WEB 109 cams, but found that the lift is .408 on both intakes and .408/.418 on each exhaust lobe. I bought them used and it looks like the lobes are worn. I can have the one lobe made to match the others, or have just about any other profile welded and reground. What would be the best profile for my application? Has anyone run the .450" cams? Too big? Any other suggestions? I will be trail riding with the family(nothing radical, just putting around/playing) and dragracing.

Any help is appreciated!

The .450 are excellent only for high RPM racing. Keep the RPMs up above 4500, and its all good. Fall below that, and there will not be much power found there. Therefore, they are excellent for racing. Not good for trail casual riding at all. I currently run the .425 and love them - they work in the trails and on the dune drags.

general trail riding the RW A1/A2 staggered cam combo is ideal - good bottom, mega midrange, little bit on top. they help in drags, not as much as a full pare of race cams, just gotta figure out what you want the most. seems like hard core dragger and hill shooters prefer a pare of Pami Race2's, but they'd **** you off on the woods.
the Web 109/110 staggered combo is very similiar to the RW A1/A2 combo, but RW lifts are a little higher on both, and durations slightly different which is where the biggest difference is.

Default Cam recomendations???

When i put the 440 kit in my old ex i could pull a wheelie in 5th gear at almost any rpm. Then when i put a stage 2 hotcam in it i couldn't get it up in 5th until i was going at least 60 mph. Bike FELT weaker, but ran .2 sec faster at 300' dirt drags. Big bore kit only knocked .15 sec off. Of course gears can compensate for bottom end power on lower speed trails.

I put the cams in along with an 11.5:1 piston, and experienced absolutely no bottom loss at all. IF the cams cost any bottom at all, the piston more than makes up for it. these cams mainly give some serious midrange, and together with dual springs really raise the peak usable rev.
