Default HELP 2000 DS650 Problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was ridin the other day when i noticed it was getting hot. It had been getting hot really quit in the last month. So I drive it home. When i get ther i let it idle and it died. It wouldnt even idle. When i tried to crank it up it smoke really bad (white smoke) out of the exhaust but it never started. So I pushed it into the shop till the next morning. I went out there and tried to start it and notice I was out of gas!!! So i filled it up and started it. It ran like normal for about 20 min and my red light came on... So I killed it. When i tried to start it up again it would start. I dunno it i blew a head gasket or a combo of things, I need help fast all replies are helpful Thanks

sounds like head gaskets. are you loosing coolant? check your plugs and see if there is any sign of burnt coolant on them. also take off your radiator cap and start the bike, see if it starts to bubble coolant out of the radiator.

Yep, the white smoke is probably water, check your oil for a peanut butter color. That would indicate water in the oil and probably the reason the light is coming on. Water is heavier than oil and if you get enough in your oil tank you may lose oil pressure.

Also check your oil screen located in your oil tank(bottom)!! if this gets glogged up, it will starve your engine for oil and SIEZE it up!! The red light is a HOT light, but it could be from coolant or OIL, so check out both systems.

You will notice on the bottom of your oil tank that ther is a spout that has a big black hose attached that goes to your engine. remove the black hose, and use a 18mm or a Cresent to remove the "spout" from the tank. The oil screen is attached to it .
