Default 597cc twin cylinder 2-stroke Rotax!!

When I was at Dunefest I saw a one seater sand buggy with a 597cc twin cylinder 2-stroke Rotax engine in it. You can look at it if you go to www.drakart.com. The motor produces 110hp @ 8200 !! It is set up to work with a CVT transmission, but with that much power, who cares about a little thing like gears! It would sure be a Banshee killer. I don't know which sled it came out of, but it would be interesting to see someone adapt it to a DS... It would be like a V-Force on 'roids!

It is a common occurance to see a banshee 350 produce around 100hp. I have seen 500cc banshees produce close to 150hp. Although rare, I have seen a turbo banshee produce almost 200hp. So a 597cc producing 110hp is not as impressive as if first seems. Just

Its just a sled motor, get a 1000cc cat.....then you will be making power.

Any of the new 800 motors make more power than the 1000cc cat motors anyway...... Not to mention how UNRELIABLE a 1000cc cat is....

The old 1000 triple made 172hp. Most 800s today make about 140-150hp.

Then why are the 800's just as fast or faster? Don't tell me that the cats were faster because they aren't.. I do know the 1000cc cat weighs a ton....
