New to the game need sand tires for my ds650 baja
i think it is more important on the size of tire than what type, the ds is heavy and needs a larger back tire, with the 20" we would get stuck all the time, when we first started to ride, well we got better but if we stopped on any incline and did not roost the person behind us it would sink. well after going to a 22" rear this very seldom happens it gets out of the hole better when racing and overall is just better. well i like the haulers but this all falls to personal choice of riding style, the v's will let the rear slide easier, but i seem to be able to get the haulers to do what i need them to do and they work great on the hill climbs. if i was to get a v i would probably go with the sand skate, oh don't get the gecko for the ds it isn't enough paddle for that big of machine, and if you go 270 it will be worse, well welcome to the game, oh and get a new front sprocket 15 or even 14 there 12.99 at rocky mountain and some may say there not as good which is true but they are a cheap way to figure out what works for you, so when you invest in the good ones you will know you have what you want. i personally like 15-43 but it takes anew chain. well good luck.

Go with 22x11x10 Skat-Trak Extrerm's or Edge's or the new ITP Sand Star in 22x11x10. It all depends on what you want to due at the dunes drage race and hill shooting the Extrem's move trough the dunes the Edge's or Sand Stars. You can get them at Daryl Smith Sand Tires in lemon Grove
