I used the tape to mark it and a dremel to cut it. After your done take some fine sand paper and a block of wood. Wrap the paper around it and sand with it. It will make your cut perfectly straight. Just go back and forth from front to back and step back and look. Use a rough paper to cut one or the other down if they are not even and then go back with the fine.

Hey, Jonnyairtime

How did you do your light installation, it looks sweet. Also we did you get your black fenders from?

Thanks Slim....

I did my lights with a little engunuity... and a welder. Touched it up with a little paint... and wha-la!
But seriously.... it took some designing. I bought the HIDStore 3.5" HID lights... mounted them to the shrouds... suuuuuper easy there. But when I made the Hella Light mount, I had to weld a couple down tubes to the frame. I also added a couple tabs to secure the shrouds better.... all of this tied in and made a really clean and strong mount for the Hella... and provided support for the shrouds and the weight of the new HIDs. The only bad part is the down tubes made it kinda hard for me to get my steering tube out to replace it.... other than that, it's all good and works GREAT!

I'd recommend the HID 3 light setup to anyone!!! Cost is about $1400 when all said and done. That's the 'other' bad part.

The rear plastics are stock DS plastics.... I just ordered them in black, $90 is all they were. And then I hacked'em up!

I hope that helps.

Jonnyairtime,

Where did you order the rear plastics from locally or on the internet?
