Clutch Spring Install
#1
Well i got the springs installed and my gasket should be in tommorow. The problem im having is when i disassembled i forgot to take notice how many of the bolts had the copper gasket and which holes they go into.So far i have 2 bolts with the gasket ( hopefully none lost ) and i see where one would go...looks like into a water jacket.I pulled the water pump cover off when i guess i didnt have to but anyway....any help would be appreciated.

The other copper "gasket" washer goes on the bolt that lines up with the center of the cylinder. In between the long bolt that goes through the deep portion of the cover [to it's right], and the short one that goes directly below the starter [to it's left]. That hole goes all the way into the cam chain gallery, so the washer is designed to prevent oil from leaking out.

Well its back together and springs seem to make a big difference.Only thing that really pisses me off is the shipping prices from Bombardier.I made the mistake of ordering the gasket through my local dealer. The gasket was $12.00 and the shipping was $15.00.I couldnt believe it.

That's your dealer (or at least their lack of sales!)
My dealer buys enough parts / year that they get free freight on their orders. See if there is another dealer that has a better set-up (their parts sales could come from watercraft or sleds - doesn't have to be ATV.)
