Default Baja front tire

I was rippin around the hills in escondido last weekend and smacked a huge rock with my front right tire. It ripped a huge chunk out of the side wall. Should I spend the $60 to replace one front or is their a better/cheaper set of fronts that anyone would recommend other than the ohtsu?

if you ride where your side walls can get puntured try a set of pure sports even if you get a flat you can ride on them for a while with no air the side walls are very thick the only bad thing is that they dont track as good as holeshots we rode in the 24 hour le fud in plaster city and did 890 miles on one set of tires
