anyone have there tach go bad? bigslim and i were riding some really hard whoops about 6 miles worth and at the end the tach turned in to a fan just spun crazy and then died thought a wire might have come off but checked today and all connected.

 

depends if you're talking power or signal. For me, it was signal. To check the signal, it's the wire that goes down to the passenger side coil. Mine came loose a couple of times.

Sandman look at the wire were it connects to the coil. Mine did the same thing. Theat wire will sometimes work itself loose.

 

Yes, I've had a Bombardier Tach (autometer from Canada) go bad on me. There have been some vibration issues. Is your dash rubber mounted?

 

no the dash isn't rubber mounted. i checked all the wires already must have beensomething inside there isn't a fuse anywhere is there. and it would be the signal wire that is the problem the light works. for the longest time i put off getting one then i finally did i started to like it for my take offs now i find i look at it and don't focus, on the launch

no changes just whoops this time but i'm going to get that msd something about the extra power at high revs.
