Default pre-filter?

i'm running without a pre-filter of any sort on my K&N. should i use it? if all it means is i will have to clean my filter more often, thats ok. just wondering if it filters something the filter doesn't.

its also a good idea to use grease to better the seal between the filter and the tunnel?

Default pre-filter?

I always run my prefilter, but i ride in the sand alot, its just a little more added protection, even when iam not in sand i run it. As far as cleaning i clean it after a weekend at the dunes, but i also have two K&N's and change it to a clean one on a 3 day weekend in the sand because they catch so much.
