No prob-bob they fit just right and as far as hour's on the dyno if thats what you want buy one of my used ones. (As many Dyno hours as mine have on them they ought to be worth say 550 each)they have many hour's on the dyno But unfortanatley thats on my bike your's will differ. If you think someone is going to dial your carb in on there dyno without your bike being there.I have this goose you see he lay's golden eggs and i think you know where this is going All bikes differ just enough to need a tad of tuning and yes the lectron is a ready to use carb but dose require dialing in. And yes it's HTG RACING.com And Fast by Gast.com these are two of the formost co. in the lectron game i do not vouch for either one but will say niether has left me feeling BAD ABOUT OUR BUINESS DEALINGS I WOULD DEAL WITH EITHER ONE AGAIN !!! I MIGHT EVEN BUY TWO OF THESE 46HV'S AND TRY THEM ON MY LITTLE DS AND SEE IF THEY DO MAKE A BIG DIFFERANCE?????? Any one know how much they run?????

AZ maybe you can answer a question I've been asking for quite a while that nobody seems to know the answer to - what adjustments if any are needed when changing altitudes with the Lectron - do you simply swap a power jet or does the rod have to be screwed with every time I trip to another location, like going from here at home 800' to Utah at 5K'?

I run alcahol in mine so no mine are very tolerant of altitudes and with power jets i would just give it a quick turn if need be!!!! but km ran the gas set up and never changed the main he did have too adjust the needle once in awhile but it takes less than five minutes to do so its just way eisier than most carbs They also have clear plastic bowls so you can see your float level and what going on inside????

PS: just to clarifiy the power jets are needle jets mounted threw the throat of the carb with a suction tube pertruding into your intake throat about half way. The way it works is you open the needle to a desired point then as your slide passes the tube it creats a vacum pulling extra fuel in to the carb via a tube which is ported into your float bowl. They are mainly a alcahol or a propgas thing i don't belive they would benifit gas alone???? But if it's something your intersted in check with your mech.

I know most know this but i have seen a few references that made me feel it was necesary to explaine this!!
and all lectrons are setup to except one power jet per unit alls you do is order it and it installs in seconds!!! and wham bam thank you mam your power jetting

Go for it, there are several models of the carb and you know how many rods there are at what 35$ each? Good luck. I know what rod it is and you don't hehehe..
Dump money on it & buy the time you figure it out and if you do you will have spent more then it would cost to buy it

Yes, I did have to make and adjustment, I had to hang on tighter to the DS!

So, is it the throttle cable on a single lectron carburetor that makes it not easily usable with the IMS 5 gallon tank? I assume this is because it goes straight up off the top of the carburetor, correct? Obviously no one MAKES or SELLS a 90 degree bent throttle cable assembly for the lectron (or does someone make one for some other application we could use here?) but we're talking about basic bendable cables so the cable can do it now we just need an adapter.

I also heard it could be possible to use spacers on the back of the IMS tank to lift it high enough to use the Lectron Now I'm left wondering how much lift we're talking about here. I've got my IMS tanks lifted about 1/2" on both ATVs out of preference, though I think lifting them more might cause some unsighly gaps.

I'd love to buy all of these goodies one at a time & try em out however my cash flow doesn't agree, so when I buy something it's gotta be perrrrrfect. So I started with the ATV which is perfect for me, now I've got a longer riding range which I love & lastly I'm looking for more power without being the gunea pig.

Though I'm usually the gunea pig when it comes to experimenting with computer parts...

SCSI card here, SATA drive there...

Hey Blackhawk im useing 90 beg. banshee cables and a slight lift on my ims tank i got my cable from htg too!! and wow wee these are one of the nicest cables i have ever seen!! and im also thinking about taking my gas tank in monday and having it molded to lay flat with my carbs whats a ounce or too when you have the ims???. i should finish my install today. It might end up taking me a week or two to get these tuned in though there only off the shelf carbs YEA RIGHT

Well mudstud and mr countryjoeglass you guy need to back off !!! I don't know who's building these 46hv special ds carbs if i did id list that too!! I asked for prices and no one wish'es to disclose that. I have paid no attention to this 46hv thing that has been going around. So i know nothing of it!!! And the guy's ive listed are the only two people that i know to get the lectrons from. And as it would happen kevin could not get my carbs done so i went to htg which was awesome too deal with!! And to Asume that all the guy's that have standard lectrons on here are running around with de tuned bike's is crazey are we to asume that only one man knows how too tune a carb for the ds?? So if you wish too list who is the 46hv builder and what they cost that would add too the produtivty of this conversation then we would know of a third source

IM OFF TO FINISH MY UNTUNED INSTALL !!!!!see ya later !!!
