I know the new Ds's come with the 7900 rpm redline like the 03 baja did, but did they use the same plug as the baja on the o4. or is it that they just raised the redline on the old model cde. I guess what Im trying to say is can I use an 03 baja cdi on an 04 regular ds

The Yellow and Black DS's have the old type plug. The Viper Red, Baja and Baja X have the new type. The two groups are not automattically interchangeable. The answer to your question is yes. But its called a Viper Red, not a 'regular'.
