Thought you would like the pic bajabomber .

St. Anthony is in eastern idaho(13 hour drive each way from my house) but well worth the drive as we will be going back next june for a week or more. Sand mountain nevada and oregon dunes dont even compare to st. anthony thats how awesome it is. No crowds, smooth transitions at the bottom of the climbs, huge bowls, steeper hills than anywhere i have ever been. Stock raptors and some modified raptors couldnt even make it up choke cherry, i was in 2nd and if the hill was 50ft longer probably would have had to shift into first If you ever have the chance to go there, do it, you wont regret it.

Here is another picture to show some more of the area, the steep hill off to the left is right near choke cherry.

Hey jetsnow600...

Thanks for the info and another great photo. St. Anthony's looks truly awesome. I'd love to check it out some day. When you go, how do you get there? (i.e., what route do you take?) Thanks!

I80 to wells nevada, take the highway north to twin falls from wells, then go east on I84 to pocatello and take I15 north to idaho falls, then hiway 20 east to rexburg/st. anthony

Also we liked st. anthony so much we were very close to buying a cabin(made offers on a few thats how close) in island park which is just 30 miles or so from st. anthony but that was also because of the snowmobiling there in the winter. The only thing that deterred us was we wouldnt use it enough and the upkeep of a place because it is so far away. Sean

I drove 4,000 miles round trip earlier this year to visit both St. Anthony's and Littel Sahara Utah - all the way from Indiana! And I'll return, you can count on that!!
I have a few favorite pics of both places in my phots page, check 'em out....
.....see if you count count the witch's eyes!

Island Park...what a great place. My grandfather has land up there, has for a long time. Always used to go there in the summer time. Never knew there were sand dunes around there, well not until I got my quad. My uncle has a really nice cabin up there too..... Hhhhmmm maybe I'll have to go there next summer, you can stay on the property!
