Who makes the engines? 638 is a size I am unfamiliar with. Did he say Zabel by any chance? The pipe on the Enduro looks like a Maico. What kind of shocks are these guys using? Did they have their own plastic design or are they using an existing design?

 

They said the engines are made for them in Germany. He did mention Zabel but i don't remember the context. Anyway, the engine said 'Storm Racing' on the billet side covers. The shocks were triple rate piggyback Ohlins on the one I saw. They also had some trick purple shocks with high and low speed damping plus everything the Ohlins had. We spent a lot of time talking suspension. Motion rate, wheel travel, shock valving etc. I think these guys know what they are doing. The plastic looks like black YFZ450 stuff but not quite as pointy. Sorry I couldn't get pictures, but they would not let me bring the camera in the back. Purple shocks, sounds like ProTrax. They also provide the upgrade option for the W-Tec Eraser.

 

Did you guys miss the part about them wanting $18K for that thing? For half that money you could build a CR500 laeger chassis quad and still have enough to mod the honda motor to 80+hp. Who's making the engine? I would also find it hard to believe that they will be able to package that much HP in a 331lb package and still be durable. TOOO much money IMO..

Cool. Put a +4 swingarm on it and some LT a-arms on it and you would have a dream duner. I smell a W-Tec Eraser, Storm 650 and ATK Black Widow shootout in Dirt Wheels this fall.
